Endocrine

Endocrine Disorders are complex and involve many glands and hormones of the body. Hormone imbalances can affect your pet’s health in many ways. Endocrine diseases occur when the glands produce too much or too little hormone, often due to an autoimmune immune response, nutritional deficiency, tumor, congenital disease and/or trauma.

The Endocrine disorders most commonly seen at MPN are Hypothyroidism (under active thyroid), Hyperthyroidism (over reactive thyroid, common in cats), Diabetes Mellitus, Cushing’s (hyperadrenocorticism), Addison’s (hypoadrenocorticism), hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism and more. These disorders are complex and often have an accompanying disease or two with some medical anomalies.

Considering diet, immune function, glandular supplementation, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, in conjunction with conventional medications, can be a very helpful approach to endocrine disease.
