About Emma
Emma Joy Obanye, hailing from Hackney, United Kingdom, is a dedicated entrepreneur, mentor, and tech enthusiast with a career spanning over 18 years. Her journey in the tech world has seen her contribute to both established corporations and budding startups.
Emma’s mission is to foster inclusivity, diversity, and equity within the UK’s tech startup landscape. As the CEO of OneTech, she leads an organization that has supported over 3000 individuals, providing them with essential knowledge, networks, and access to funding, enabling them to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.
In addition to her role at OneTech, Emma is an entrepreneur herself. She splits her time between OneTech and her latest venture, “The Startup Game,” an engaging app and board game that reflects the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship.
Previously, Emma co-founded BuddyBounce, an award-winning loyalty and influencer platform with a focus on the music industry. Her dedication to her work has earned her recognition as one of the UK’s top 100 black and minority ethnic leaders by Inclusive Boards and the Financial Times, as well as acknowledgment as one of the most influential women in 2022 by Startups Magazine.
